Yes it's not Joey. It just me.
The car must have been siiting forever to to flat spot the tires (just the front?????). The only time we see flat spotted tires is at minus 30-40 degrees. Try just driving them to see if they will lose the flat spots. Make sure that the air pressure is good and try the longest higher speed drive you can stand. The tires should lose the flat spots eventually but then they should not have gotten them either.

thanks.

i ran the car over to the gas station and filled the tires up with air, they were real low when i put the gauge on them, but didn't look it. the thump thumping is less with more air. i just wanted to think if you or anyone else thought that the tires were still safe to drive on. thanks again.

The tires should be safe. It's really amazing what kind of abuse that they will take. Anything from way to low air pressure to way to much. I have seen them come into the shop with 10 PSI all the way up to 60PSI. If yours didn't look real low then you should be ok.

hey tommy, don, whats up boys? man, long ass day of driving for me!
on my ram I once had a flat only overnight, and know what, damn tire was ruined! thump thump thump, sitting on the sidewall damaged it, granted a saturns tire profile is much lower then my l/t tires were and the saturns MUCH lighter, but, yup, happened to me, was pissed and surprised too tommy, I was like, what the hell, OVERNIGHT?
before going to tennessee i had high and low spots on my tires that were making me hop like a son-bee-yotch, but it was they were truly each out of round jsut enough, that they all balanced out fine with minimal weight but combined they hurled the truck all over, i had a process done called trueing, not very common anymore, a lost art actaully, they take a lathe across the tires ON the car, man, when they are done, you never felt such ROUND, truly round tires, my god, hell im going to have melissa's brand new michelins done, cause once you realize NO tires round anymore from the mold, and once you drive a car thats had the tires shaved on frame, youll do it once a year! but, in this case donny, if the sidewalls shot, just come to the yard between now and friday and come take a free tire, hell take a pair, a set, i got tons of good sets of rubber.

hey couper, sidewalls can leak and make tires go flat slowly, leaks, anywhere, are easy to find, get a big tub, kids pool, whatever, fill it with water, take the tire off, throw it in, now, look carefully and slowly, you will see air bubbles coming up wherever the leak is, in the old days (my time <grin>) all gas stations had a metal tub outside them to dip tires into, funny, gas stations, in the past ten years it went from, you could buy belts, hoses and get 99% of yuor repairs done at a gas station, now, its hey, wanna twinkie???? USELESS!
good luck with finding your leak, slow leaks may take a little time, but rest assured some bubbles will show!

maybe it's your wheels dude.

i have no facts to back that up, but almost everyone i know with these wheels has problems with them leaking.

and joey. i've got another little trick for you, if you don't have a tub of water.

if you mix a drop of dish detergent with a spray bottle of water and spray it on the tire, bubbles should start to form where the leak is.

hey joey,

thanks for the offer as always.

i will be by in about 3 weeks, i know what a long time to drive like 40 minutes from my house, but i got both kids with me all the time on my "vacation". i have been trying to play catch up on some repairs on our explorer and my mazda. my saturn needs brakes and they are sitting on my garage floor. then i gotta see you to get a power steering pump, a/c pulley and still thinking of doing the mpfi change over from the crappy tbi. so hope you are staying busy. tires still shake a little but with about 1000 miles on them now, they are smoother than they were.
