Default flip-flop trunk mod problem

ok so i did the flip-flop trunk mod to my 93 SC2 and am leaving the bolts out and loose to it will open "the cool way". but the back of the trunk lid (the end closest to the rear window) sits up too high when closed and as i drive it moves higher and higher. its not leaking but it looks kinda dumb that way and that is the exact opposite of what i wanted from this mod. and dont say put the bolts back in to close it, thats obvious. i want a fix where i can leave the lid the way it is and not have that gap. any help?

theres a guy in spoc south with an sc1 who did the same thing. I saw him close his trunk, and he closes the rear (closest to the window) first. And he doesn't have a problem with it. his name here on spot is wickedsc1 you may wanna send him a pm about this.
