Default fuel gauge not working

i have a 94 sw2 i got not too long ago and when i got it the gas gauge didnt work, still dosent can anyone help

Have you checked anything yet? Wiring, connectors? Could be those. Could be the sending unit in the fuel tank. Could be the gauge. Could bethe printed circuit board on the clauster to the gauge.
