Default HELP!!! Apparently I have an alarm

I never really noticed this, but apparently I have an alarm. I always use the key fob to lock and unlock my doors. Last night my keys were either lost or stolen, and now I no longer have the fob. When I tried to use my spare key, the car started beeping at me and would not start. I pulled the battery cable and it stopped beeping, even after I put it back in, but as soon as I tried to start the car again, the horn started again.

What do I have to do, assuming I dont get my keys back. Is there a fuse that I can pull, or something?

Please help, as it stands now I dont have a car and I have no idea how Im going to get to work in the morning.

BTW its a 99 sl2 standard, if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately for you at this point the remote entry/Saturn Security System is doing what it is supposed to do. It is preventing your car from being stolen.

Out of the owners manual.

Starting Your Saturn (If your transmitter is lost or damaged and the Saturn Security System is armed)
• Use your key to unlock and open the door. The alarm will sound for about two minutes.

• After the alarm stops, put your key in the ignition and turn your key to the "RUN" position.

• Turn your key back to the LOCK position and remove your key from the ignition.

• After about fifteen minutes, you will be able to start your car.

If you have not misplaced your transmitter, but it is not working properly, refer to Synchronization section that follows. If your transmitter is still not working properly after you have gone through the synchronization procedure, follow the steps above and see your Saturn retailer for service.

When, and if, I replaice my key fob is there a way to disable that alarm thing, so it can still be operated with just the key (and not have to wait 15 minutes to start the car)?

With the alarm - if you lock with the fob, you HAVE to unlock with the fob. If you lock with the button in the car, you can unlock with the key or fob.
