Default HELP!!sputtering and hard to start


i have a 92 sc with a twin cam/auto.it starts fine when cold and runs perfect.after a few minutes it idles low(almost dies in drive).it skips and sputters and it is slow to accelerate.when it is cut off,it hard to start.any help appreciated,thanx in advance

Check the basic tune up stuff, plugs wires, coils. Clean the throttle body and air by pass passage if diry. Check the PCM coolant temps sensor and connector.

if the plugs,wires,etc.. were bad,wouldn't it skip all the time as soon as i started it?it runs perfect for a few minutes and then the drama begins.i will check the pcm sensor.thanx again

not necessarily - heat can make a big difference.

AMEN!!replaced the wires and its running like a top!!it's still hard to start after it has been run for a while.any suggestions?

yeah,sure did.it drove perfect.it is almost like the battery is dead,then it just fires up.

if a battery sits for a little bit it will be able to let out more charge than just after discharging. I'd get the battery checked.

ok,thanx again.i haven't had this car for too long,but it was a steal for $300.00.the lady thought the motor was gone in it.the interior is leather without a tear in it.
