Before they do anything they need to get a replacement door latch. That is what is causing the problem. The old one will need to be broken up to get the door to open.
Here are my instructions to do this. Check my photo gallery on Sat Fans for a diagram.
What you need to do is to access the interior of the door. Roll the windowdown, remove the outer trim piece at the top of the door that is against thewindow. The trim piece is held onto the outer door panel by a sort of cliparrangement on the trim. It clips/rolls onto the door panel. I usually startat the rear of the door by lifting the trim up and then gradually working itup off of the panel. Once you get it half or more off you should be abletoslid it out from under the mirror and then all the way off. With this offyou should be able to see into the inside of the door. With a light you'll be able to see the door latch. Then you'll need a 14-16 inch long smalldiameter shaft flat bladed screw driver. What you need to do is use it likea chisel and break the door latch at that place, it should be a whitishcoloured plastic part of the door latch. When it's broken the right way (orbroken up enough) the door latch will allow the door to open. With thedooropen you can then remove the mirror and then the outer door panel to gain access to the inside of the door and remove the bad latch and install a new one.
