Default hey wolfie! got an update for one of your threads!

hey bro, i saw your post on satfans about the guy with, i think its a 96 sl1 wanting to go twin cam
give you a little insight and newsflash, 95-6-7 single cams are the EASIEST ones to make twin, get this you can start by simply dropping the twin RIGHT IN! yup, look at tkt 003 we experminted with this years ago, at first we used his stock pcm, harness, everything (we later changed out the pcm to get the higher top speed limiter and new guages) BUT the multi port single cam pcm and harness is DIRECT bolt up for any pre 98 twin cam! i usually dont release such detailed info on swaps, but personally im geting burnt out on people that buy motors elsewhere (not you josh i understand when someone gets one so dirt cheap they cant pass it up) and then ask me for detailed advice. i dont mind releasing some info but i get people that fully expect me to write them a 3 page instruction booklet one complicated swaps, so lately i been responding, if you buy the engine from us you will get full instructions included on whats neccasery to be done.
but, you can go back and have that guy contact me or fill him in, the single cam MULTI port pcms will run any twin cam from 91-97 JUST PERFECT, really.
hard to believe but true and we have done this numerous times after tkt 003.
we just finhsed yet another hard swap for a board member, masteroskillio is flying in today.
last year we did a auto to 5 speed swap for him he drove home to new york without one problem
then he wrecked his car about 2 months ago, the estimates to repair it alone were HIGHER then our estimate to put a whole new front clip on with the sl2 nose, AND make it a twin cam
his car was a 94 so yes we did have to use a twin cam pcm and harness.
hes going to be driving home tomorrow after spending the night here to rest up (this will soon stop as people have taken to personally attacking my lifestyle and what i own, drive etc on other boards) so well see how succesful tkt 0021 is when he drives home to new york this week, which i can assure you will be a trouble free run (andrew is a very cool kid, he doesnt rag on his car, loves it, takes care of it, just wanted a little more power but fully understands a stock saturn twin cam does not make it some custom built race engine to be brought up to 9k rpms at every chance) but now you know, so you can relay the info to the guy wanting to do the swap, going with a twin cam pcm and gugae cluster later WILL net him the higher top end limiter but other then that the single cam multi port pcm and harness will run this swap perfect.
thanks, and thanks for taking the time to follow all these boards and always offer to lend a helping hand.

Hey, THANKS! Always good to get some inside info from the "Great Expierementor" I did think that he electrical connectors for the injectors themselves were different though, but the older I get the less I remember...LOL

good monring there maine wolf , all the injector end clips were the same until 99 i beleive, then they changed the, but, say someone wanted to put a 02 engine into a 96 for example.
the ONLY intake that will work is 99, the 99 will bolt to the 9 bolt head and then any previous year injectors rails, 3 bolts, will swap right over.
then they would also need to swap their year tb onto the 99 intake
as far as the guy on satfans you can take a 95 or 95 single cam, and DROP A TWIN CAM RIGHT IN, there is no tricks to know, EVERYTHING WILL bolt right up and work, now of course they can always upgrade later to a twin cam pcm which will give them the higher top speed, BUT the single cam pcm and harness will PLUG RIGHT IN
be good boss, always a pleasure to work with professionals.
