Default High Beams

I was driving home the other night and one of my high beams went out.
So I went and bought a new bulb and replaced the bulb that was out and turned the high beams on to check them and it will not light up.
So I used a test light and I have no power to the plug on the driver side and I also tried the two bulbs in the passenger side to make sure the bulbs are ok.

My question is why don't I have power at the plug on the drivers side?
also I always drive with my lights on low beam in the day time and I can't remember if the day time running light ever worked in this car but they are not working now.

sounds like a bad relay. It's one of the black square things in the underhood fuse box.

Check the headlamp fuses in the under hood fuse block.

Yes. Replace the relay.

It's the DRL relay. I'm guessing that your DRL's no longer work.

If you want to keep your DRL's, replace the relay.
If you want to get rid of your DRL's, but fix the high beam, there's two points under the relay you can jump.

Default Fixed

My high beam is fixed I found that the wire was broken about 3 inches down from the plug for the bulb. The day time running light are still not working but I will look into replacing the relay for that.

Thanks for all the help
