Default How would these foglights mount?

I'm new to foglights..

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...RICE|0/s-10101

would these be able to mount to my sl2? it didn't come with foglights (and i assume the brackets aren't there either), and i'd like to find a low-expense set of foglights as i do a lot of highway driving and all the extra light helps when those darn deer decide your car is fun to run into heh..

You would need to find some thing solid enough at the front of the car to mount the lights to. The bolt on top of the light is the mount point. Mounting it through a plastic piece on the front of the car will not likely be solid enough. Have a look at where you want to mount the lights and see if you can find something solid enough to mount to or something that you can mount a bracket to to attach the light to.

yeah.. depends on how heavy they are..

i had a set of $20 walmart fogs just screwed into my plastic bumper cover and they were fine... till the rusted.

same lights on gabe's car.. just 4 screws holding them into the plastic.. keep in mind tho.. they only weigh a few ounces a piece.

its really easy man..

i got my first pair for $40 at autozone that looked like those walmart ones.. they were pretty sweet.. but they cracked REAL easy.. then i got new ones, same brand, and i put better lights in them, and the silver coating inside melted and turned them **** yellow.. i was fed up with those lights, went out and got myself some good ones..

well.. good for $40 at walmart..

heres mine as of now:

http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/355/untitled42kp.jpg

they are at walmart like i said, and its a double function light.. its got 2 pairs of lights in one housing.. one light is blue, and its just for an accent look.. the other is the white H3 bulb, for actual use.. i replaced the stock bulbs with $10 "hid" ones.. also from walmart..

their really good, no cracks, no melting.. trust me.. spend the extra cash now..

heres what the blue looks like:

or, with my lights on:

oh, and as for wiring them.. with my new pair, 4 wires plug into each housing (2 powers, 2 ground).. which all those wires wrap togeather, and go to a "terminal", which looks like a relay.. it plugs in and out for installation ease, then on the other end of that relay, you ground it, and power it, and theres one other plug, which is for the switch they supply you with... it sounds confusing.. but its really not.. dont let the wiring diagram throw you off and turn you away

well.. when i had my first headlights, in the bumper there is a divider between where now its one big ass grill on my car.. i just screwed em in there.. then, i wanted to make one big grill .. so i did.. and with my new lights, i screwed them to my frame.

those side yellow lights are just jammed in there tight, their not really secured at all. but their big enough for the small hole their not going anywhere..

I love the look of my stock fog lights. The placement off kilter from the headlights and the fact that the car is lowered makes them sit with a more aggresive stance. I'd like to swap them for projector fogs though..wonder how hard that would be!!?!!?
