| i am going to shoot myself it just never ends.
how hard would it be to fit a 2 barrel carborator on my engine. no more sensors, no more fuel injection BS.
i'm getting nothing!
i've replaced everything i can think of...
o2 sensor
crackshaft pos sensor
coolant temp sensor
plugs
wires
coilpacks
ignition modual
fuel filter
air filter
fuel tank
fuel pump
it just cranks, it won't start. but it ran before i changed the fuel filter. it would run at idle, until i gave it gas. then it would die.
does anyone know anything about anything? |

| Have you checked your fuel pressure? |

| **** man that sux...check compression? check injectors? check fuel pressure at the rail? Make sure there are no kinks in the fuel line, broken/grounded wires in the engine compartment....
Good luck man...

| i have no way of checking either fuel pressure or compression.
because of this stupid problem i am consistantly late for work. (when you work 5p-11p and you share a car with somone who works 8a-5p thinks don't work out) so i can't afford to buy any tools or anything.
i hate this planet! |

| I'd be checking to see if the fuel pump is working, and if possible find a shop that will lend you a fuel pressure gauge. If the pump is working, but you've got no pressure at the engine, then it's the filter. If you've got pressure, but the fuel's not gettting through somehow, then it'd most likely be PCM or injector issues.
Check fuel pump first, & have a good look at that new filter you got, it could be clogged.

| I would try pulling a plug and grounding it while cranking to see if you have fire. Make sure you have adequate fuel pressure. Try swapping coolant temp sensor with intake air temp sensor to be sure your new sensor isn't faulty and telling the computer that the car's hot(so the computer doesn't richen it for cold start). |

| Check for the basics. Suck Squeeze, Bang, Blow.
You likely have the air getting into the engine. Does it sound like the engine has compression when it's turning over? If it sounds like the whole thing is just free wheeling then there is a problem. Bang has a lot of stuff. Spark, yes no? Pull the plug wires off of the coils and crank the engine over. The spark should be able to go from the coil towers to ground. Is it making it to the other end of the wires? Does it sound like the eninge wants to fire up when you crank it over? If so then you have spark to the cylinders and like fuel. To much fuel? Not enough fuel? If you provide an additional source of fuel does the eninge want to fire? Getting the bang at the right time? Harder to check. Basiscly is the timing of the fuel delivery, spark and air coming at the right time? Blow easy one, is everthing getting out of the engine to the tail pipe.
