Default I have never seen anything like this before...

I usually think that I am pretty good when it comes to dealing with electronics and espically car audio, but this one has thrown me for a loop. I was pulling up to the gas station today, and my radio all of a sudden went out. poof. Dont think that I am dumb, I checked the fuse, both on the panel inside the car, under the hood, and on the back of the headunit, but they are all good. I pulled out the handy dandy continuity testor and there is still power AND ground going into the harness. I plugged the old factory radio in and again no power. I have no idea where to look or to think about this. I will give you a little bit of what happened. I was listening to the radio and I went to switch over to CD and when I did the volume was different, so the CD was loud and then the CD player just turned off. poof. I have exhausted my thoughts. Any ideas?

Is there power all the way to the radio? The connecter terminal, radio side. Terminals not loose or pushed in ?

I should inform you guy that I work at Mobile Link (car audio) in Central Wisconsin. I know that there are 2 wires, and BOTH of them test hot. And as far as I can tell, yes, the connector is making contact. I can not be 100% sure however.

I firgured it out. I was a littles pissed when I wrote that because my car was breaking after sticking lots of money into it. you know how it is. The problem was that my memory or constant power line went bad. I have to draw a new line from the batter to the radio. I'm not sure what went out. I was still getting some power, about 3 volts rather than the 12 I was supposed to be getting. So if you may know why, let me know on that too. Thanks.

Sounds like there could be a radio fuse that is bad or a power circuit to the radio. do you have the three volts at the radio fuses?
