Default I need help!!!!!

I am stuck getting a P1635 code and it is constantly blowing the EGR fuse. I need help I want my Satty back on the road and not behind a tow truck. I have replaced the EGR, EVAP purge solinoid, Heated O2, and checked the wiring for everything on that circuit. I do see where the MAP sensor is tied to the EGR valve, I want to know if that could be it. Wolfman, Ssicarman, or anyone that knows what this could possibly be, please help.

The P1635 code I found is a "5 Volt Reference #1 Circuit"

The code was a GM specific code so I'm not sure if that actually covers the Saturn models or not.

Nope no help have done a full run down of the entire circuit of wires from the PCM to the fuse box to the sensors. There is no chaffeing or broken wires that I have seen. I have also checked the injector wiring, as well as every other wire that I could get to with out removing the entire harness. So wiring is good.

Are you sure you have the correct fuse there?

A friend of mine had that problem, his brake light fuse keep going out. Turns out that the guy own the car before him had the fuses misplaced all over the place.

25A was in the 10A shot, 20A was in the 25A shot.

Yes i have the correct fuse in it. It is a 10 and that is what has blown in it the last 200 times that I have tried to drive it just outta the garage.

Well, I picked up a map sensor at lunch today. I am going to try it when I get home, I will keep you guys posted.

Can someone post saturn's schematics for the 5 volt sensor reference? I need to know what all sensors it runs to. So that if this map sensor does not fix it then I can start shooting down the rest of them one by one till I get it.

For my 93, the EGR fuse is a Tan (5amp) under the hood.

I suggest you take out your owner manual and check all the fuses you have and make sure you have the correct fuse in each one of the slot.

They changed it to a 10 in 98, when they added the EVAP purge solinoid, and the heated O2 sensor to that circuit.

Nevertheless, I got itfixed now. I started chasing down the wires on the rest of the car and ran across a broken wire and a chafed one.

Jeff, I rerouted that EGR harness so that the same thing does not happen on that one. There was some minor chaffing but nothing had gotten in to the wires.

Glad you got it fixed.

So was it the part of the egr harness that was up against the battery bracket where it had rubbed through the blue plastic tubing?
