Default I need Throttle Body help QUICKLY


i just installed my new SPS Throttle Body. i got everything set up and i started the car and as soon as it started it revs up to like 3K rpms. it didn't stop climbing either so i just shut off the car. the throttle cable does have a lot of play in it like a centameter or so. what can this possibly be. i need help QUICKLY

Make sure that the butterfly is not sticking in the bore. If it is, you may need to use some steel wool to remove just a hair. Also, try pulling off the throttle body and then open and close the butterfly for a couple of hours by hand to make sure it doesn't stick.

Are the vacuum lines on the top connected correctly, and are you sure that none of the holes in the top of the throttle body are clogged?

ok i think i got it. it was a lot easier then i thought. i disconnected the neg on the battery and let the computer reset. and sure enough that was it. it still idles a little bit higher but with a clean TB and i cleaned the inside of the intake manifold as far as i could reach i am just assuming that will prob be normal. thanks
