Default Instrument Cluster

I want to replace the instrument cluster in my 1996 SL1. If the new instrument has less or more miles then the original one from my car, is there anyway to make the odometer on the new instrument cluster match the one from the original odometer?

You keep your old speedo, transplanting it into the new cluster. MIA why you want to change it?
