Default joey sent me with tech data question

joey sent me

I wonder if anybody could assist.

I am from South Africa, where all US vehicles are banned for safety reasons, as the British taught us to drive on the wrong side of the road. We cannot see oncoming traffic when behind tractor trailers being seated on the left hand side.

I recently received new standard suspension coils (springs) for the ION and VEIW Saturns from a tuner in California.

We manufacture lowering suspension systems in South Africa and now had a request, after we exhibited at the SEMA fair in Las Vegas, to manufacture coils for various US models and most of them I could help with, as we have a huge data base that we share with our European -NOT FRENCH - partners .

I cannot tell exactly where the front and rear coils seat on the winds, as the samples are new and do not have any tell-tales on them. i.e. whether the top and bottom part of the coils locate in the seats on the inside of the winds, or on the outside of the winds of the coils.

I lastly need the manufacturers claim on the weights of the auto's and when it is expressed in rear (axle) weight and front (axle) weight, it normally saves tremendously, as I need to get the Yaw or Sag right first attempt.

I further promise that I will send the person that could assist with the correct info, a test suspension kit, should you happen to drive anyone of the two vehicles in question.

Joey promised to help, but the guy is getting married and he does'nt have time to concentrate on my stupid questions right now.

If you want to learn more about our Company, you could go to anyone of two of the websites we have, namely:

www.koenic.co.za
www.wheelwarehouse.co.za

Thanks
Jaap Visser

I'm not sure on exactly you mean by "seats on the inside of the winds, or on the outside of the winds of the coils.". If you can expalin it a bit better, I'm sure that it's just a matter of different terminology. Do you want to know where/how the springs sit on the strut mounts? I should have access to pictures of the front and rear suspension and should be able to e-mail then to you if you want. The weights are doable if the info is on the cars.

Joey, Tommy,

You okes are stars man - thanks a lot

I also only now noted that I had the name of one of the cars (automobiles) incorrect.

Why don't you call it a car, it's so much shorter and also helps okes like me with pronounciation

It's a VUE.

No wonder the other cookies did not bother to reply.

I messed up their name.

Sorry guys

Learning fast

Jaap Visser
Joey, I promised Tommy test kits as well. The more I test, the more accurate my final kit will be - it helps

Thanks again
