ok, heres a good q, some1 tried to steal my satty lastnight, they tore my ignition all to hell, i know i can get another one but was wondering if anyone knew how to take whats left of my old one out? thank
if you have a chilton or haynes it tells you
you goto take the shroud off put key in turn it and on top I believe there is something you push. let me know if you cant figure it out..
If you can get the key into the ignition cylinder and still turn it then all you will need to do is replace the cylinder, the wafers and the springs in it. If the key won't go in or the cylinder won't turn then the entire housing will need to be removed and replaced. The cylinder will need to be broken out to get the numbers off of the wafers to get the right code for the key.
