Default locks

the truck lock on my car doesn't work at all and the passenger side only works occasionally. is there any way of fixing this without having to replace the ignition, both door locks and the trunk lock?

if not, how tough is that to do?

What do you mean by not working? Does they key turn but nothing happens or does the key not turn at all? If it is a problem with the key not turning lube the locks and get a new key cut to code. If it is turning then the linkage is probably disconnected or getting hung up.

SHAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't really need the passenger side key lock anyway, or the trunk key hole. Shave it, I am...one day

What yr, make, model?
Electric or manual locks?

I did my drivers side, sucks but doable. Trunk is easy and accessible.
1. You have to purchase from the dealership because they have to cut the key.
or
2. Buy individual used locks and have seperate keys.
3. Buy 3 locks and ignition from Joey and spend a weekend on it

Or if the lock actually does need replacing you can go to your local locksmith and have them get you a new cyl and key it up to your existing key. Or you can always send me a copy of your key and I can key up a cyl and send it back to you...I am a locksmith after all....

it's a 92 SL2 with electric locks. all the switches work from the inside of the car but the trunk lock and passenger door lock won't turn from the outside. lube, huh?

Hey eric, the locks don't work anyway, just invest the money and shave all the handles and locks. I'm goin to, I hate handles. but thats just me.
