My low coolant light comes on and off randomely. It will stay on for a little bit then go off. And my coolant levels are fine and I am not over-heating. What is causing this? Someone help me please!

Did this just start since your turbo was installed, or has it been happening before that?

Just since the turbo went in. I just got my car back with the new turbo in and they said it went on and went off after they some coolant in it. They said it might of been a air bubble since they had to move the hoses. I am going to wait to se if it comes on again.

good idea......but if it does, have them check over the whole coolant system again, and if nothing is wrong, they may just need to reset the light so it doesn't come on.

Well I just got back from school and the light hasn't come yet. I'm hoping that it stays that yet!

The coolant reservoir must be filled up to the seam or the light will come on. Sometimes when the coolant is drained the float in the tank for the sensor can become jammed by some crud in the tank. Drain enough coolant to remove the tank and take it in the house and wash it out throughly with good ole dish soap and water or some castrol superclean and water sloshed around inside and then rinsed out with clean water. (You'll be amazed at the crud that comes out) You should hear the float rattling around as you shake the tank to slosh the cleaning solution around. Make NO attempt to remove the sensor! Finish with a clean water rinse and then reinstall it, filling it back up to the seam, and your problem should go away permanantly.

Drain about a gallon or so of coolant out of the radiator or until the tank empties, you do not need to drain it all. Remove the 1 bolt between the coolant and washer fluid tanks. Undo the small hose clamp on the top of the tank and the larger one on the bottom of the tank and pull the hoses off the tank. Lift the tank carefully and disconnect the sensor electrical connection at the bottom...remove the tank. Install is reverse..about an hour or so including the washout.
