low mpg

94twincam sl2 4 door it idles good but when i get on it it dies out when it gets about 4000 rpms it drops then picks back up my mpg is about 20 if im lucky iv put fuel injector cleaner in it iv changed plugs and wires iv cleaned egr and throttle body it helps but only for a less than a day please help

iv been looking on here alot today i read several things about that i looked at my car is it on the tranny side of motor and is there 2 of them and r they cheap to replace ty

i checked the ects it had 3 cracks and it was a brass tip i also changed the thermostat for the overheating problem thanks for all the help
