Default Max RPMs?

Say there was nothing on a saturn to limit RPMs, what is the max RPMs you could safely turn the engine to(sohc or dohc) without something breaking?

tell you what... get an automatic PCM and go find out and let us know mmaky?

heh.. Yeah im a smart ass.. Like a convo with my dad went like this

Ok say im building my motor up how do i figure out the redline

Revit up and blow it then shift 500 Before when it blows up

I just want to know how much a stock engine can take before it flies apart.

isnt that a dyno for a stock saturn... a few mods and the peak power could be brought up into higher rpms if u'd like

I dont care about power, I just wanted to know how many RPMs the engine could handle with stock internals.
