Default MMO in Trans

I have a 1995 SL2 W/auto trans. I have been reading some posts about people doing a MMO soak on the piston rings to clean the engine. My car shifts fine at normal speeds but at WOT it will chirp the tires going from 1-2 in normal or preformace mode. Here is my question... I read in a post on another site about someone running some MMO (like 4-6 oz) in their trans to clean up the valve body and trans internally before a trans fluid/filter change... I have had the car about a month and the previous owner seems to have kept up basic stuff, oil/trans/belts... The car has 123k on it. Ideas on trying this? Good or bad? Thanks!

I was told by the previous owner (original owner) that it was serviced at about 100k she thought. And the fluid is clean and the filter (red in color) appears resonably clean... (cleaner than the other trans and engine component around it...)

Using MMO (Or other approved chemical) on a transmission before fluid replacement is a sound principle, most repair centers with AT Flush machines put in some chemical in before replacing fluid.

The only other thing that I can think of to improve transmission performance is to buy Dexron VI ATF and use that in your transmission. General Motors says that Dexron VI supercedes Dexron III in all GM vehicles, and has vastly superior resistance to degradation.

I would be hesitant to use MMO. If you wanted to use a trans cleaner I would go with one that is specifically designed for auto transmissions.

Depending on tires and road surfaces chirping the tires at WOT would not be abnormal.
