motor swap in the 96 SL2???

ok, i got the chance to buy this older SC2 with flip-up headlights with a good motor/trans and was wondering what i would have to do to make this work with my 96SL2 cuz im not sure if the computer is the same even though they are both DOHC's.....im just wantin to swap motors, the frame is pretty F&CKED and so is the suspension so im just gonna take the motor and possibly sell parts off of it.........but as far as the swap....what do i need to know??? please help...thanks

The YEAR of the "older SC2" would be a critical part of getting a correct answer to this question...

i don't know the year.......i know it has the flip up headlights and the DOHC motor...it was pouring out when i looked at the car and didn't get alot of time to get more details, but he was gona start it but the ***** took the battery so he couldn't...
