leme try this again:

This is for a 96SL2, probably common from 96 and up.

Pop out the 2 black pins on the inside of the cluster, this will allow you to remove the outside bezel (black), you might have to remove the 2 screws holding the steering column plastic off to get the outside bezel off. Once that is off you will need to remove 4 8mm (i think) bolts that will loosen the clear plastic bezel so that can be removed. Once that is done carefully pull the needles straight off, then you can pull off the OEM black guages and then install your white face then I've read to reinstall the guage needles put on the needle but not all the way, the cycle the guage to the right, then back to zero, then push the needle the rest of the way on. I just put them on as close to where they were before I took them off as possible and I got very close. To put your car back together do the reverse of the dissassimble (obviously).

Any questions, leme know.

Hey, how do you get the 2 screws out of the bottom of the steering column cover?!?! I have tried a few times and never got it. They looked like small socket heads, but I didnt have one small enough to fit up in there.

5.5 mm deep or 7/32 deep 1/4 inch drive sockets ground down to have less diameter.

thats what I figured, that it has to be ground down, but it seemed extreme to me. guess not. Thanks
