Default Is this normal? a/f gauge

I just installed an air/fuel ratio gauge in my car, and when i drive the l.e.d. bar jumps up and down constently, and never really stays in any specific area, unless im stoped. It jumps up to around ideal, then goes down to the red and back up again. Is this normal reading? Thanks for the help!

Did you replace the stock A/F sensor? I have heard ours doesn't work well.

the o2 sensor might be faulty, there could aslo be other problems that can cause that. id say test the o2 sensor after it warms up. it should read .035-.055 volts and should be steady.

No no no no no!

Its totally normal. The faster its jumping around the better. It ALWAYS jumps when your cruising. If its not jumping your O2 is dead. The PCM is just trying difference mixtures to get he best gas mileage.

When braking it should go to lean and when acclerating hard it should go to rich or the higher side of ideal.
