Default Oil on the ground

Well, I've had my car in my garage working with the wiring and stuff. When I went to pull it out, there was a 2x2 puddle of oil. So, I'm wondering, what could be some possibilities of the problem?

Where did the oil come from?

Did you check your oil level?

My level is fine. I noticed oil on the ground, and a friend said he though he saw some fom the top right of my cam cover. Could this be just a loose cover or bad seal?

Did you have your oil changed lately. Sometimes if you spill some when filling it, it can take awhile for the oil to find it's way to the ground.

Here are some pictures of the oil:

From the location of these leaks, what could this mean?

The first pic and 3rd pic definately show a Valve Cover gasket leaking.

If you are pointing out the oil around the fill cap in the 2nd pic, thats normal from filling and spilling.

The first pic is minor seepage from the valve cover gasket. If it keeps going like that then the gasket should be replaced. The second and third pics indicate more of a spill from the filler cap area. Either a spill from filling or a cap not sealing well, most likely a spill. The 2x2 area on the ground, inches or feet? That much oil (in or ft) indicate a fairly good spill. Could it be from another car? Have you had a look see under the car to see if you can see any oil there?
