Default Radio problems!

When I was driving to work on Friday, my CD player went off. I could not get even the radio or anything to come on. Saturday I checked the fuse and replaced it (even though it was not blown) and it still would not work. So Sunday I took my car to Circuit City and had them take out the CD player and replace it with my stock radio. Well, my stock radio doesn't work either. I double checked the new fuse I put in and that was not blown. I also noticed this morning on my way to work that my fog lamps and rear window defroster was not working. Everything else on my car seems to be working fine. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be??

Which fuse are you checking? Sounds like when I didn't have all my HU wires insulated properly and kept blowing one of the underhood fuses. Your owners manual should list your fuses, so you can narrow it down to a few suspects...

dose your car chime when you leave the keys in the ignition? if not the "chime module" is bad I know that it controles a lot of things like radio, lighter, etc. it's located on the other side of the fuse box "drivers side" .

I checked all the fuses in my interior fuse box and all those are fine. I didn't check all of the fuses in my fuse box under the hood but I did get a chance to check some of them, and all the ones I checked were okay. I'll have to try testing the "chime module" today. Also, another thing I have noticed that is not working properly is my cruise control. When I hit the button to set the speed, it works but then starts accelerating and doesn't stop until I hit the break. This is probably related to my other problems but I thought maybe it would help in figuring this out.

Double check the Chime Fuse... The same thing happened to my car about a month ago. I hate the Chime Fuse because it's a 5 amp (I think) and it's hard to see if the metal connector is broke or not.

Thanks everyone, it was the chime fuse! I finally have a radio back! Now I'm wondering if you have any input on another problem I'm having. When I'm driving and I reach 65-70mph, my steering gets extremely loose. I've checked the power steering fluid, tie rods, and steering rack, and there doesn't seem to be a problem with any of those. My brother said it could possibly be my ball bearings or my sway bar. Any thoughts?
