Default Removing rear deck to replace speakers

How do I get those push clips out without breaking them. They're the barb type, not the ones with the push button.

EDIT: I just read the other post about this and wanted to clearify that there are the kind under the carpet, not under grills. They're also held in by black clips and not screws.

I wish I knew. Yours is a second generation and very different, of course.

If they're like the black plastic ones that hold a first gen door speaker in place, they have a Phillips head and you can unscrew them. (Damn weird, I know, a black plastic screw that goes in to a black plastic expansion sleeve.)

If you are talking about the pins that hold the carpet to the rear deck, that are behind the back seats... Pull 'n Pray.... Thats about it. lol Usually even though the barbs look bent bad, they will go back in and hold just fine unless you snap the whole thing.

Or you can stick a screwdriver underneath it and pry it up by turning the screwdriver so its perpindicular to the deck. This puts the pin at no risk of breaking.
