Default removing shift knob, WHAT A PAIN!

ok this is stupid, i cant remove my shift knob! its like its molded to the shifter. i thought i could just take this thing off in no time and i sat there for like 20 mins trying to figure out how this thing is stuck on there. i gave up on it now, so i need to know how has everyone else taken there shift knob off? and was it as much trouble as im having?

Do just as picksl1 say's and be careful as to not leave an imprint of the shift pattern from the knob on your forehead.

Like they said, pull hard. Don't smash your face in, don't bust through the sunroof, and done break the dome light.

i havent tried it in fourth gear sitting in the back seat but ill give it a try. i also dont have to worry about smashing the dome since my headliner is removed since im reuphosltering it and fixing the cracks in it.

Then dont dent your roof. And a hockey mask wouldnt be a bad idea for this procedure (I have learned form experience). I found that twisting back and fourth slightly while pulling on it can help a bit too.

I actually just laughed out loud at the thought of some guy in the back seat of his car, pulling the hell out of the gearshift, while wearing a full face hockey helmet.

Good advice, but a funny image....
