Default Replacing dash board lights

I have a 94 saturn. The dash lights that illuminate the a/c switches have gone out. Any hints on where to start in accessing those bulbs is appreciated. It "appears" I may need to remove the between seat console first, then work to remove the dash. It doesn't "appear" the face places pop-in/pop-out?

Don't quite remember what it's like on the '94. You gotta obviously take the dash trim piece off, and then take the stereo out...After removing the HVAC, there are clips on the top and bottom that should pop off the faceplate. Be careful not to lose the buttons inside...

The background lights are 12v (the yellowish ones), and the smaller ones inside the buttons are 2.1v. I tried to change mine to blue a while ago, and I believe I have a topic somewhere around here about it...but the only LED's I've found that will run on 2.1v are red or orange. Blue/Green and the like usually run 3.1-3.6

So, you need to find blue leds that run off of 2 volts, and 12 volts, to make the background blue. Or get some transparent blue paint and get creative?

Additionally, is there a way to change the bulbs behind the gauges (speedometer/odometer/etc) to another color, such as Blue, Orange, or Red?

yeah, those lights are just bulbs that unscrew from the back. take one off and check the number, then go to autozone or whatever and get the same model number

I just installed indiglo gauges, so I didn't mess with that. I believe somebody did, though. It was the same person that replaced the amber LEDs with green ones....second gen SC, older dash style.

I imagine 12v LEDs would work, but as for the specifics, I cannot help you.
