Question Rumbling while trying to keep a constant speed.

I don't know anything about cars, and thankfully I've leased my 2006 Saturn Vue AWD. Recently I started driving through town and having to go speeds from 25mph to 35mph. Where normally I was on highway with my cruise set at 60mph. I've noticed when I try to keep the constant lower speed and keep my foot on the gas (VERY gently) it makes a rumbling sound, almost like those strips you drive over before railroad tracks or sharp turns to alert you to slow down. I've only got 26,000 miles on it, so I'm still under warranty and hopefully it's something that's covered!? I just wanted some opinions on what it could POSSIBLY be, since I'll be going in there "blind".... the last time I took it in because it makes a "back-firing" sound and I sorta felt like I was bothering them, because they hooked my car up to something, and made it make the noise and said " Is that the noise your hearing? It's supposed to do that".... So I felt dumb!! I didn't know a new car was supposed to sound like I was driving through the ghetto!? I thought maybe I'd go in prepared this time?? I have an appointment this Saturday.....

They are also looking at my volume buttons on my steering wheel. When I push the button to turn the volume up, the volume goes down. And when I push the button to make the volume go down it changes the radio stations!! (And YES I double checked I was hitting the right buttons!!)

Any imput would be great! Maybe someone else have had this happen??

Never feel bad for bringing your car in. ALL of us have been wrong at one point or another. Its their job to look at your car and fix what needs to be fixed. Half the time your intuition is right.

Im not very knowledge able the Vue (im an S-series guy haha) , however I do know that the rumbling noise is not right. Dont leave untill its fixed.

Siccarman or another membe rmay have some ideas for you tho

Thanks!!! We're supposed to be getting about 6" of snow so I'm having to reschedule my appointment!! This morning it had a little bit of a hard time turning over (first time this has EVER happened). I had to turn the key a second time....At lunch today to drive across the street to get some food it started right up no problems!? So I'm only driving it to work and back til my appointment!! I have a 5mth old and I can't afford to get broken down somewhere with him in this cold!! I hope it's nothing to serious and I hope that me driving it isn't making it worse!!!!

Thanks again for your response!!! =-)

In ANY car whether its brand new or 20 years old, always have some kind of bag that has some of the common things you would need incase something ever does happen. Its always a good idea. Many places like walmart sell these bags that contain gloves, blankets, flashlights, basic tools, etc. I recommend spending the few extra dollars for it especially with the cold weather and your newborn
