Default SES(service engine soon) Reset for 92 SL2

Anyone know how to reset this idiot light on the dash besides taking the bulb out?
I just want the Light to come off without taking the bulb out and taking it to the Dealer for 500 point inspection for them to tell me I need some smog sensor etc. etc. for a couple hundred bucks $$$.
The car runs fine and I know this idiot light is some sort of code warning thing to tell me that something is wrong in the engine somewhere. I don't care to know, unless that light tells me that the engine is gonna tell me the winning Lotto numbers :P

Use a paper clip and get the code read yourself. Pick yourself up a hayne or chilton repair manual and it'll tell you how to check and how to fix your problem.

When the engine light on , it means something is not working right. You can either keep driving like that which may cause some other device to go bad on you or fix the problem now.

Or goto autozone, they will read the code for free! In most places.......

I definately would NOT let it go and just ignore it!! Bad tings lead to worse things.... ALWAYS!

I forget exactly which pins on the OBD-I's you use, but basically it is designed so that by jumping to pin terminals together it will flash a light in a pattern that tells the code. I agree, it is best to find out what the problem is and take care of it, since one error code can reveal a deeper problem, and if it deals with air/fuel metering, can cause lean or rich conditions, neither of which is good for the longetivity of an engine.

if anyone knows how to do that 'flashing trick' they should post it on here or on the tech section, and have the codes available if possible, that could help out many people, and be interesting for the rest

I am gonna put that link in the sticky for OBD-2 codes also, since it is asked for once in a while.

Default Use a paper clip to jumper Terminal A and B of the ALDL *Ass

Use a paper clip to jumper Terminal A and B of the ALDL *Assembly Line Diagnostic Link* which is above your left knee.
Terminal A is an interal ground and is the top right terminal in the connector. Terminal B is directly adjacent and to the left of Terminal A.

Turn the ignition to ON.
Maybe a dummy question?? Where is all this code gonna show up in after the paperclip thingy? In the dash board? or am I suppose to hook up some diagnostic tool to this ALDL?
