Default *SHIFT LIGHT PROBLEM SOLVED*

For anyone interested it is the pink wire coming off the coil packs that works as a tack lead for a shift light etc. This is on my 2001 sc1

So, if I disconnect the pink wire, I won't have to look at that stupid light all the time?

It's weird because when I had my mp2 swap done, after a while I realized I didn't have the light any more... Then one day I downshifted and I the RPM's went up to like 6900 I was like WTF? So I took it up to see if it was a fluke and sure enough I almost reved up to 6900 again then I backed off cause I got scurrd but it seems to me like I have no rev limitter either... Last time I checked it wasn't good to rev close to 7K in a Saturn... How much damage do you think I did w/ that? Do the injectors shut down at all when That high? it seemed to still be pulling fine but I don't want to chance it.

if it was an auto before the swap that would explain the no rev limiter. auto's don't have one.

Did you have a SES light after your tranny swap?

No I had the MP3 before the swap SES light was already on and so was the shift light... The SES is weird because most of the time it's on but it'll turn off once in a while.
