Default Something unplugged... what is it?

Passenger side, under the dash, bottom left of the door.

There's a black wire that comes out from under the dash and seems to go right back out the right hand side of the car, only pops out for about 8". in that 8" there's a connector, it kinda looks like an RCA cable but more solid, much tighter connection.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? I found this wire unplugged last week... not sure what it was so I plugged it back in. Not sure how long it was unplugged for. No idea what it is. Didn't notice anything difference after plugging it back in.

Thoughts ?

Reverse indiglo gauges
Blue console & dome lights
Mod Saturn logo on bumper as brake light

I concur with Ssicarman. It's very easy for someone to hit it with their foot and knock it loose. I've had it happen on my car before.
