On many years the sun roof has no servicable parts. on the years that have some servicable parts they are usually limited to the motor and the cables from the motor. Get hold of Joey at 6th planet used parts, a sponsor here and regular contributor to see what he can do you for a price on a whole new sun roof module.

luckily 95's were the last serviceable year tommy, we have a contact that sells us tracks for ALL years, saturn made the 96+ more difficult and it wasnt long before a company saw the demand for saturn sunroof modules and that saturn was screwing 96+ owners elft and right
we can get new guides that use ALUMINUM arms instead of palstic which is great, we can get you a used sunroof module, or a complete rebuilt one.
rebuilt ones, complete ready to drop in are under 400.00, thats less then HALF of what saturn charges and again our supplier is using aluminum arms, since the arms break as much as the guides this is a good thing...
drop me an email, any way you slice it we can get your roof fixed up....

Hey, this reminds me....

Not to jack the thread, but my '93 'roof is kinda whacked. it's like it sticks up higher in the front driver side corner for some reason and if I adjust everything so it sits evenly all the way around, it binds.

Now, there is a little chunkof a plastic thing broken off on the passenger side, but I'm certain that isn't causing the catty-womped sunroof. Is this any kind of common problem? Maybe something is bent out of whack like an arm or something?

sounds like classic broken arm kc, lol....
i prolly have a couple from broken roofs, they are very difficult to work on, even the early years that saturn deemed serviceable (ask any tech that has less then 3 hands how fun the ealry ones are to work on!) but if you want to try i can prolly conjure up an arm...

Well, I might have you do that. Not to hurt your feelings, but I'll probably check the local pull-a-part first. They tend to give me stuff like that for free because it's not a commonly requested part. (These same people GAVE me a complete concealed headlamp assembly for my '93 for free.) Hey, the might not even have any Saturns, anyway. There hasn't been one in any of the four area yank-it-yourself yards for at least two months, but I haven't checked in a few days.

That being out in the open, think you'd mind sharing with me just where the heck those suckers usually break at? I'd like to go take a look to see if that's really the problem before I go start swapping parts.

Uhm... Any of those SC's happen to be 95 or 96 models with the foglamp openings?

But yeah, they gave me a pop-up. Crazy, huh? Yeah, they're the same folks who sold me a '92 header and downpipe for seven bucks, and qouted me a price for a complete rear disc conversion of fifty-five bucks. The damn fools just don't know what some things are worth. I buy crap from them all the time and resell it for WAY more money.
