| Syncros dead I think my syncronisors might be shot because first and third are really hard to get into alot, as if im not even pushing the clutch pedal in. ive tried doulbe clutching and it works sometime but not always. and getting into first from a stop is really hard, i either have to bring it down into second then into first and go or try 3 or 4 times clutching everytime. any suggestions or fixes?

| There are two cables that go into your transmission and there are clips that hold them there.
The only reason I know this is because my car was doing the same thing, then I took a three hour trip, got into the city, and my first and second gear were gone. I thought it was a huge problem, took it to the transmission guy (a friend of my dad's) it was $20 to fix.
I went to put my car into first and it was third, second was fourth, and third was fifth, reverse was almost in the same spot.
That might not be it, but I'd definitely check it out, just see if the cables are loose. I'm not sure on the exact location, but I know they are clipped on externally, otherwise it would have cost much more for him to fix it if he had to open up my transmission.

| Where is the clutch pedal engaging? Close to the floor normal height, or high up?

I doubt that all of the syncros have gone at the same time so it may come down to checking everything out (cables, fluid etc) to see if you can find anything out of the ordinary.

| cable is located under center console, once removed, the whole enchilada is exposed.
you probably need a new cable pivot bushing at the very least, the white plastic one right below the end of the shifter shaft, inside the console.
taking the console out is fairly easy, couple of screws and walla.
do a quick search here, i am sure there is a tutorial of some kind describing the repair.
