tail lights melted

long story short. had a recall done on my L100 some months ago for the tail lights. the bulb went out last week so i bought some more. pulled the bulb out and it exploded, again. i thought no problem, it has happened before. i went to put a new bulb in and the hole is melted so bad a new bulb wont go in. suggestions? i am seeing tail lights on ebay for >50 shipped so we are not talking alot of money. but i dont want to replace the light every time.

Go back to the Saturn store that did the campiagn and see if they will do anything for you. At the very least see what the cost of the campaign replacement bracket is. likley cloase to the 50 ebay $ you are thinking of.

i think the dealer would have to fix this, since you got the recall and it melted again, id ask the dealer if they can help you, since its a board and not a simple socket, why go crazy trying to fix it if the dealer will do it? i think they should IMO

Hey Joey, long time no see here.

With the campaign done n the tail light it is now just a simple bulb and socket set up. The installed camp repair is a bulb and socket in a bracket that is bolted over the tail lense eliminating the the original tail light wiring for the brake light.
