|  Taking off old automatic shifter ........
i Just bought a real nice shifter , ( automatic ) , i have a 92 sl2 .... how do i take off the old one ? does anyone know ......... if you do please leave a real answer thanx alot

Use a screw driver to pry out the C-clip on the backside of the knob (the side closest to the radio. | |

look man im only 16 ........ im only askin goddamn it , can i ask anything on here witout gettin a smart ass remark , well if u really wanna kno , maybe its bcuz my car is garaged gettin worked on , to the people who help ...... thanx !!!

If you haven't put 2 and 2 together, I typed out what to do, and Cool1Net6 found my old post about how to remove it. I don't see what the big deal is. Next time you have access to your car, look at it and see if it's the same. Mostly likely it is because automatics on almost all cars with that way (GM anyway). It was the exact same on a Firebird and Beretta.
So, before you come crying back about how no one helps you and that you are 16 and need to be walked through everything, read and look over the pictures I supplied, and the next time you have access to your car, check it out. I'll be just like mine. | |
