Default tranny swap

I just completed my own tranny swap, but i have run into some problems. The original connectors from the auto tranny don't match up , plus i installed the clutch pedal switch, but have not connected it to any wires as i don't know what wires to connect. I tried to follow the harness from the underhood junction box and thought that the yellow wire was the one, but at the ignition, the yellow wire was cut and switched with a black wire going into the ignition. I can't get my car started someone help.

What you need to do is jumper the conncton that "was" connected to the nuetral safety switch on the auto transaxle to make the PCM "think" the car is in nuetral or park. Unfortunatly I don't have a wiring diagram available where I am now so I can tel you which one that is. The should be a unused plug that connected to a semicircular switch on the autotransaxle when it was there. Jumpering the connector contacts (a little trial an error) should allow you to start the car. When you find the right one, these are the wires that need to be connected to the clutch pedal switch. Joey or Ssicarman may know right of the top of their heads which wires these are.

VERY GOOD SUGGESTION! That should actually work temporarily provided he can determine where "park or drive" is on teh switch. Provided the transaxle came out while in "park" he should be all set if he just removes the switch from the transacle and plugs it back in as you suggested..WELL DONE!
