Default Tranny Swap`

Ok, I have a 1996 Saturn SL2 Automatic. I am looking to do a tranny swap to manual. What all do I need and how long will it take me? Does anyone have any write ups on this or anything. Thanks a lot in advance for the help!

Matt

could you bring it to a shop to get something like this done, how much would it cost? would it be better to just sell the car and buy another? lol

I was told it would cost about $1500-2000 total to get it all done

complete auto to manual swap kit for spot members with us is 640.00 with your discounts, thats dirt cheap, we include a low mileage tranny, the pedals, linkages everything you need, the average guy can do it with jackstands in his driveway and hand tools, usally in one to two days no problem. we do them in about 6 hours.
if you came to our shop we charge between 550-800.00 depending on if we supply the clutch (the kit comes complete right down to the flywheel and its bolts, every clip, everything but the clutch, never use a used clutch, waste of time if you need to replace it 6 months down the road)
many people drive down and have us do it but i have heard of dealerships that will do it for the public, matter of fact weve shipped a few kits right to the installing dealer.
