i have a 96 sc1 and i blew out the transmission on it (stick). i was told the gear ratios are different from the sc1 to the sc2 because of the different horsepowers in the engines. so since i am replacing the transmission would it be a better idea to put a sc2 transmission in instead of the sc1 trans.? thank you for all your help.

On the whole you will be better off sticking with what was originally there. The SC1 trans will better match your engines power band.
