Default transmission

My automatic transmission only goes into reverse sometimes, and when going forward, it shifts rough or sometimes not at all.

I am looking for a used transmission and i was wondering how hard it would be to swap to a manual.

alright. That solves my problem on if it could be done... but does anyone have any information on doing this 5sp trany swap into a 98 SL2.. it says 91-94 on that article
