Default Transmission Fluid

Hey I am about to change my tranny fluid myself. I was wondering how many quarts and what kind of fluid do i need to put in there? Thanks

probably 4.5, remove fluid, and install 3 quarts of fresh fluid and new filter. Have your car running and warmed up, pull the dipstick out, check and install more fluid(same hole as the dipstick for trans fluid) keep doing this but dont pour bottles in at a time or you'll drown your trans. careful not to go past the full mark. have fun, do you like your motegis? i have 17" mr7's the mr12's looked better to me though.

according to the Haynes manual it sais DEXRON llE automatic trans fluid for both auto or manual tranny

the auto tranny(including filter) takes 3.5 qts and the manual takes 2.6
*all capacities are approximate. add as necessary to bring appropriate level

And also, using Dexron III in Dexron IIE Applacations is perfectly acceptable.

Manual trans should be about 2.3 litres (2.5 quart) and the auto should be about 4 litres with filter change (4.5 quarts). The quart stuff is approximate guesses by me. The latest and greatest Dexron auto tran fluid is what you need for both transmissions.
