Default upodate on 95 driveability

well i finally got the 95 sl2 in the shop and remived the throttle body for cleaning... wow waht a mess. it was caked with carbon and oil. i cleaned it off real good. even went as far as removing the throttle plate and iac valve from it. soaked it with throttle body cleaner. changed the plugs with ngk v power plugs. the old ones were real carbon fouled. ran some combustion chamber cleaner through it too. seems to run a little better, but i am still rich

co was 1.0 and hc was 620. i have a long way to go until this is done though

after all that i did change the oil

next step o2 sensor and ects i have a funny feeling about the one i put in in may

Did you change the spark plug wires? If your apprehensive about spending $10-15 you can check it out by viewing the engine running in the dark. Closely examine the plug wires ---If you see any faint arcing around the plug wires thats a problem. Make sure its pitch dark because the arcing can be very faint webs that are not seen in the day. I just had a simular problem and changing the wires did the trick. If thats not the problem then one of the mechanical heavy's will have to help---------------
