Default upper mount problem

Ok guys, I have a problem with my upper motor mount. When I did my swap, I bolted the mount to the timing chain cover and noticed the back bolt was totally stripped out, the front one was getting there and the middle one held perfectly. It thought I would be alright to drive it the little bit I planned on over the winter till next spring when I could get another timing chain cover. I checked it almost every time b4 I took it out to see if the bolts were coming loose and there was no change from when I first bolted it together. Well, a couple days ago I pulled into my driveway and heard a nice loud thunk. I popped the hood and the other 2 bolts had pulled out about 2 inches and inturn pulled the mount at a funny angle and twisted the metal and ripped the rubber almost all the way out. Sucks cuz it was a new mount, used only like a month. The mount is easy enough to replace, but my question is, is there any way to fix the treads in the timing chain cover so I don't have to take it off in 20 degree weather? I know there is stuff for spark plug holes and the like, but anything that would possibly work for this so I can at least move my car around on the driveway when cleaning snow?

You should be able to get a helicoil kit to repair the stud holes in the timing cover. It is not real hard but you do need to be careful with the repair. Remove one of the studs and take it with you to get the right kit to match the stud threads.

Oh thats sweet, such a relief to hear that. I hated taking that cover off while it was out of the car, let alone in the car. Thanks.
