Default valve body


i have a 1997 saturn with an sutomatic transmission... wen i take the casing off the top to get to the valve body, are there and check balls or anything that will fall out of place when i remove it???

The valve body cover has no check balls or other hidden dangers if you remove it. Now the valve body can be different. If you remove the entire valve body as one complete unti then you are ok. Leave the hold down bolts in place as some are location specific. Remove only the ones that there service manual that you are using says to remove. Just obvious stare you in the face things. If you go to disassemble portions of the valve body then there are check balls that you need to worry about.
