Default YASLQ Yest another sticky lifters question

Does anyone have a good solution (other then new head) for clearing up sticky lifters?

Also my 99' sc2 's serpintine belt seems to be loud on warm up, but then gets quit after about 10min of driving, do I just throw some belt dressing on and call it even?

Before I post a tip may I ask why you feel you have sticky lifters? Is this on your '99?

i stick 2-3 cups of marvel mystery oil in the engine oil then drive it for about 20 minutes, then change your oil, if it is sticking lifters this usally works excellent, sounds like derek may have something up his sleeve sdo let him know if it is your 99, lets see what he ahs to say, Joey

Well I've been working on cars for a few years, and when I picked up this one, I noticed right away a "tick tick tick" that was in sink with the rpm coming from the valve cover, the car has ~50,000 on it. I was thinking of Motor-up, or Mystry Oil for this problem, but that doesn't allways work

you have to be VERY careful with many engine flushs, MANY are kerosene based products, sure theyll flush the engine allright, and ALL THE OIL off the cyl walls while flushing, which is very bad, marvel is a super high viscosity while very thin feeling oil, its milder then many flushs so sometimes you have to use it a couple times, but NEVER use a kerosene based flush as you can and will do more harm thenn good!
