Hello - from your new SPOC National PR Officer

(Because some of you are not on the Topica List Server, i am re-posting my message here also)

Hello all - i would like to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Holly Jones and i am the new appointed SPOC Public Relations Officer.

Most of you know me already - and for those who don't - i am LilMunchkin325ic on SaturnSpot.com Also some may know me as Pat's fiance (Picksl1 on SaturnSpot, the SPOC NAT. vice pres., and the SPOC NJ Pres.)

i know some of you are thinking "Hey, She doesn't own a Saturn!" - though this is a true statement, i don't feel that this should effect the way anyone should feel about me being able to hold this possition. through getting to know me - hopefully you all will find out that i am very knowledgable about all makes/models of cars.

Public relations isn't just about dealing WITH the public - I have to be able to relate to them on a eye to eye level, and really show that anyone can rely on me, givin any situation.

My job is to get our SPOC name out into the Automobile Enthusiests Circuit - so therefore i must be able to relate to many different kinds of automobile lovers.

BUT - my first and formost duty as the National PR officer, is to make sure that the Inner Core of SPOC is running smoothly and that the lines of communication is open between all chapters.

I am really going to put my efforts into helping ALL SPOC chapters getting their names out there. Wether it be helping to recruit new members by posting various news letters on different forums or by just talking to ech and every one of you to get a feel of what YOU think would make SPOC bigger and better than it already is. Because SPOC just isn't about its acting officers - its about our commen members too.

I want what's best for all of us and the club we are representing - i hope that you will all allow me to benifit and better SPOC as a whole.

Thanks Holly for introducing yourself, and letting everyone know. I've been swamped with a few other things the past few days and haven't gotten a chance to even breathe yet.....lol.

Only on this forum could a serious post introducing a new national officer degenerate to fart jokes so quickly.

Welcome, Holly! And don't feel bad about the Bimmers - I had a 320i myself, and was editor of the Boston Chapter BMW CCA newsletter for a year and a half. I haven't owned a Saturn in a year, but for some reason I keep hanging out with these wackos.

We don't really have governing structure in SPOC NE ("we're a narcosyndicalist commune - we take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer of the week..." Monty Python, anyone?) but I'm one of the active folks there. Oh yeah, and I kinda got the thing started, too.

If you want, pop over to the SPOC NE forum and read up on our GRM $2004 Challenge project. Might be some good PR for the club in general...
