hi i was going over the amps i will be getting next month i when i was on ebay i say some of alpines pdx1.1000 going for 400 with free shipping and i was wondering if anyone has used them before or knows someone who has. it will be powering 2 12" type r's

The alpine pdx series is amazing. Get it by any means. I used it to power my two 15 type R's but it wasn't enough power to power both of my type x's. Get the amp but check with the seller to make sure it's for real. $400 sounds a little to good to be true. My MRD-1005 was around $400. My pdx with a deep discount was $450 with tax included. I do a ton of stereo crap so if you get it cheaper than my supplier, you should be somewhat wary. And yes METC do know what they are talking about so I don't want the noobs in high school to say their Sony system from wal-mart is better. Alpine is the best in SQ in my opinion. Good luck, if you get the amp though, plan on losing your hearing.
