Default battery terminal


ok so i bought a rockford amp kit and it did not come with a battery terminal but it did come with the wire pre crimped with one of those circle type terminals. now do i need to go get a battery terminal or could i just put the terminal in front of the stock wire and tighten the nut back on.

ps, it came with no intstruction, and it is 4 guage wire.

If you have a top-post battery, then sure.

But if you have a factory side-post GM battery, I'd recommend going with the adapter post.

I have a scosche terminal in my car and it works just fine. I have the side post conversion kit (basically charging posts) and i just slip the terminal over it. I converted my positive battery cables to 4 gauge, and the scosche adapter has 2x 8-gauge slots, and 2x 4-gauge slots. I have my speaker amplifier hooked up to the adapter, and i'm hooking the sub amplifier up to the UHJB

Buying a side post terminal like the knu one will make the install looks alot better. Plus if you ever want to add anything to the battery its a whole lot easier.
