ok, i was wondering if there is like a rule of thumb for the distance between the cross over and the speaker. (and the speakers i was thinking mtx TX6001)

cause i want mount either out my crossovers on my rear deck or under my seat for the front speakers. back ones are probelly going to be getting coaxials that have a swivel tweeter (i was thinking polk MMC650 )

I don't know of any rule of thumb. I've had active's in the trunk for the door speakers, I've also had passives under the seat for the doors, as well as passives flushed into the door right next to the drivers.....it's never made a difference....just find a place that's easy for you. BTW, I wouldn't mount them anyplace easily seen, if you leave your car out very often, it's just an invitation for a break-in.......Mine when flushed in the door were for a competition vehicle, that was always garaged, or had me no more then 30 feet away.

Regards Sonny
